Film Fill

Range Description

Details

This type of fill consists of thin, closely spaced plastic surfaces over which the water spreads forming a thin film in contact with the air.

These surfaces may be flat, corrugated, honeycombed, or other patterns. The film type of fill is the more efficient and provides the same heat transfer in a smaller volume than the splash fill. These fill types are used in a cleaner environment with a good quality water.

The maintenance cycle is determined by the duty and in most cases on a yearly basis. This fill deteriorates with handling, cleaning and nozzle spray force. Where there is oil or a lot of scale and product present in the water this type of fill is not advisable.
